You're Not Alone - Celebrities Who Struggle with Eczema

If you struggle from eczema, you might sometimes feel alone and singled out. However, you are certainly not alone. People all over the world have the same itchy eczema struggles that you do, including people of all walks of life. From doctors and lawyers to professional athletes to celebrities, eczema is indiscriminate and can manifest itself in all kinds of people.

Celebrities who struggle with eczema include:

  • 1. LeAnn Rimes has eczema
  • 2. Adele has eczema
  • 3. Brad Pitt has eczema
  • 4. Britney Spears has eczema
  • 5. Catherine Zeta Jones has eczema
  • 6. Jade Jagger has eczema
  • 7. Kate Middleton has eczema
  • 8. Nicole Kidman has eczema

And that’s just to name a few. There are likely many more who suffer from eczema and it’s just not public knowledge.

Many people go to great lengths to hide their condition because they find it embarrassing. That’s unfortunate because in actual fact, there are so many people who can relate to the same symptoms. Children can often be cruel, and many of these celebrities like Leann Rimes and Kate Middleton were bullied in their youth.

Bullying is unfortunate, and kids need to be taught about how to treat one another with respect, and how to deal with kids who aren’t playing nicely. There’s a big difference between teasing and constant, hurtful, and unkind behavior. It’s important that we treat one another with kindness anyways, and it’s also a good reminder that we never know who someone may grow up to be. Because bullying can affect so many people’s self confidence, it’s important to remember these tips:

Tip #1: Out of sight, out of mind

Cover up your eczema so that you aren’t always thinking about it. Wear long, loose clothing. Wear tencel® fabric or 100% cotton.

Tip #2: Take care to treat your eczema and avoid flare-ups

Follow a skin care regimen that includes lots of moisturizer, and avoid anything that is an eczema trigger for you.  Consider wet wrap therapy if your eczema is stubborn and you are concerned about side effects from pharmaceutical drugs.

Tip #3: Be positive

Having eczema does not have to stop you from excelling in other parts of your life. Eczema hasn’t stopped these celebrities from becoming accomplished actors and renowned musicians. Be positive, apply yourself to your areas of interest, and you can accomplish anything.

We might not all be rich and famous, but at our core, none of us are all that different. The next time you’re feeling down about your eczema, just remember that you share something in common with Brad Pitt and you might just feel a bit better.
