AD RescueWear Interviews Brad Ervin on Soothing His Child's Eczema.
Please tell us what age your child developed eczema and the symptoms?
At 12 months - She breaks out in red rashes, hives, and bumps all over her body that are accompanied by chronic itching and then bleeding. This has led to staph infections.
How did you hear about AD RescueWear Eczema Treatment Clothing?
Our pediatrician recommended for us to try wet-wrapping eczema and that he knew there were eczema clothes that perform that function. A google search brought us to the AD RescueWear website and the Rescue Suit for Eczema.
Please discuss your experience with your child’s doctor and other physicians and who was most helpful?
We have gone to every type of doctor, including allergists, dermatologists, pediatricians, and nutritionists. Honestly, we have done most of the research and work ourselves, as no one has really tried to help us treat the root cause, they just only focus on symptom control. The only help we have found from a medical professional has been the homeopathic doctor we have seen since December 2015. She actually has been working with us to find the root issue behind our daughters eczema.
What is your process of controlling your child’s eczema? Please explain what did and did not work.
We know that any "fake foods", food dyes, preservatives, artificial flavors, etc...they all cause her eczema to trigger inflammation. She is also triggered by grass, pollen, pet dander, any non-cotton materials, basically everything! We have tried and had mixed successes with controlling her diet to an extreme level. We also have used topical steroid creams and ointments from our dermatologists to control the worst outbreaks. We have used essential oils, supplements, every eczema lotion you can buy over the counter. Honestly, we have settled on Aquaphor/VaniCream and using the Rescue Suit for Eczema as the best way to keep her eczema under control.
Was wet wrap therapy with the AD RescueWear product/products effective in treating your child’s eczema?
Yes, it has been very effective and we have seen and continue to see great results with her sleeping in it every night. She has come to love having it on. We only wet it on an "as-needed" basis, but simply sleeping with it dry gives her, and us, peace of mind that she can't harm herself. Before the Rescue Suit for Eczema, she woke most mornings with cuts and bleeding places from scratching her entire body throughout the night.
